Diego Salazar (Lima, 1981) es periodista. Su trabajo ha aparecido The New York Times en Español, Ojo Público, RPP, Foreign Policy, The Washington Post en español, El País, eldiario.es, entre otros medios en Latinoamérica, Europa y Estados Unidos. Es autor del libro No hemos entendido nada: Qué ocurre cuando dejamos el futuro de la prensa a merced de un algoritmo (Debate, 2018). Ha sido editor asociado de la revista Etiqueta Negra y editor multiplataforma del diario Perú21. Entre 2014 y 2019 fue Academy Chair de los premios The World’s 50 Best Restaurants. De 2009 a 2012 fue profesor en el Master de Periodismo ABC-Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
En 2018 ganó el Premio Nacional de Periodismo peruano en la categoría Reportaje Escrito por Reynaldo Naranjo: una historia de terror en Brasil, investigación realizada junto a la escritora Gabriela Wiener y publicada en Ojo Público. El mismo reportaje recibió una mención honrosa en la edición 2018 del Premio Latinoamericano Periodismo de Investigación «Javier Valdez».
